Maths Activities
We involved maths in the following science activities...........
We made graphs for our Sound and Communication Project on animal hearing and on sound intensity.
Sound and Communication was our project for the RDS Primary Science Fair. When we were at the RDS we conducted two surveys; one on favourite and least favourite sounds and the other one was a "Guess whats making the Sound" survey.
Amazing Triangles (constructing triangles using marshmallows and cocktail sticks)
Height and Foot and Shoe Size (comparing shoe size and height in each classroom. We added a comparison with age for good measure)
Design a Bridge (using books and paper)

Catherine made this graph showing how well different animals can hear. Many animals can hear much higher pitched sounds than people can.
